What this is

A city desk covering the bookmakers a person in Accra can actually open. It has covered betting operators since 2019 and opened its Ghanaian file in 2026. Betting leads here and casino follows, because that is the order this market searches in, and Aviator carries a section of its own for the same reason.

Pages go out under the desk rather than under a personal byline. What a reader can check is the model, the evidence beside each criterion and the date on every figure. A name at the top of a page is none of those things.

What we have measured, and what we have not

No cash out on this site has been timed by us. Nothing in the Ghanaian file came from a stopwatch of ours, and no page here says otherwise.

There are three kinds of payout figure and the model treats them as three different things. A median this desk timed, which does not exist yet and would outrank both others. A median from a published report, which several operators here have, carried and labelled as reported rather than measured. And the operator's own wording about paying you, banded where nothing firmer exists.

A fourth kind is refused outright. A payout figure somebody simply chose, however sensible the choice, is not evidence, and moving it out of the code and into the data does not make it any. Where a record carries one, the model drops it and falls back to what the operator actually publishes.

The same caution runs through the payments coverage. 9 of the live bookmakers publish a cashier that opens from outside Ghana. The rest carry nothing here because nothing could be read, and they are named rather than left out: 1xBet, Melbet, 22Bet, Betwinner.

How the order is decided

Five criteria, weighted, out of 100 points. Getting paid carries the most of them. This desk refuses to order bookmakers by the size of an offer, and the weighting is where that refusal is enforced instead of merely announced.

A criterion is scored only from something the operator publishes. Where nothing is published it is not scored and not defaulted, and a score needs three of the five criteria plus the heaviest one before it exists at all. 3 of the live operators carry no score today for exactly that reason, and each of them says which reason on its own row. What this desk will not publish

• A bonus figure that no operator publishes. Match percentages and ceilings circulate for brands in this market that run no welcome offer at all, and 4 of the live bookmakers here are in that position. Those figures are not carried, not rounded and not hedged.
• A welcome offer figure in a bookmaker's name that the bookmaker does not publish. 6 of the offers on file here are what affiliate sites agree on rather than anything the operator states, and every page carrying one says so beside it.
• A gambling helpline number for Ghana. There is no national one, and the two numbers passed around as if there were are the regulator's enquiry and complaints lines. Printing either as counselling would misdescribe what somebody reaches in a bad hour.
• A licence number nobody can check. Where an operator publishes two different ones we say so, and where only unverifiable numbers circulate we publish none.
• A cash out for a bookmaker that has no online account. One operator here books bets online and settles through agents, and describing a withdrawal for it would be describing a product that does not exist.
• Anything suggesting an assured win, or that betting brings income or success. The Gaming Commission's advertising guidelines forbid both, and they would be worth refusing without the rule.

Corrections

Write to [email protected] with the page and the source. A wrong figure about a named company is fixed the day it is verified, and the correction is stated on the page rather than made quietly.

Operators are welcome to use the same address. A publisher that only hears from readers is a publisher that finds out late.

How the money works

Some links on this site pay a commission when an account is opened. That is how it is paid for and it is stated on every page carrying one. Commission is not an input to the model, not a tiebreak and not a factor in whether an operator appears at all.

The check on that is the model itself. It is published, the arithmetic is described in full, and the evidence behind each criterion is printed beside the operator it belongs to. An order you can recompute is a stronger promise than a sentence saying we are independent.
